The Radiology Department at DeQuincy Memorial Hospital provides radiological services by ARRT registered and LA licensed personnel. We provide all routine procedures. We also have Registered Technologists who perform the procedures on a computerized tomography (CT) Scans and ultrasound (US) services.

X-RAY
We provide the best in digital imaging. Digital x-rays use 80% less radiation than traditional imaging. This reduction in radiation improves safety for patients. Digital sensors also produce more detailed and precise images. This enables us to provide the very best in patient care. We offer all routine X-ray exams.
COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY (CT)
A CT exam is a diagnostic imaging procedure that is able to produce detailed imaging of the body, including bones, muscles, soft tissues, organs and vessels. CT exams can be done with or without a contrast material given by mouth or intravenously for more detailed visibility. CT exams are extremely helpful to diagnose and treat many conditions.
ULTRASOUND
We have a contracted service who perform most routine, general ultrasound exams. Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to produce images of the inside of the body. We offer vascular ultrasound exams to help identify a range of conditions including blood clots. Ultrasound is also helpful to diagnose the causes of pain, swelling as well as infection in the body’s internal organs. One of the greatest benefits to ultrasound imaging is that it does not require ionizing radiation exposure.
